Nandhana Palace

Sometimes all you need is one good meal, one good bowl, or just a pack of something to fulfill your hunger. One of the best places in Bengaluru to grab a meal is at Nandhana Palace. Nandhana Palace has around 16 outlets in the city, they are famous for their range of Andhra delicacies.

I went to the JP Nagar Nandhana Palace, they have valet facility so the trouble of parking your vehicle is taken care of with ease. Located on the first floor of the building, I must say they are very clean and tidy, the staff is very welcoming, and they guided us to our table very quickly. Water was provided promptly along with their menu cards. We were in a fix whether to have the Ala Carte or go with their meal options. Nandhana Palace is one place that offers both the Veg and the Non-Veg meals.

You start off with a bowl of Chicken Biryani, a cup of raitha, and curry. The Chicken Biryani was cooked well and tasted good, the hyderabadi chicken was marinated and cooked in the Telangana style. Along with the rice you are given a few pieces of Chicken Kabab. The Chicken Kabab was fried well, and the texture was not all that hard to chew on.

Chilli Chicken is the other starter given in the thali; the spicy semi gravy just makes your taste buds go crazy. You would love this version of the famous Andhra Chilli Chicken as it is not the usual green chilli version that you would find in many of the Andhra restaurants.

Non-Veg Thali

Initially you would be provided with Mutton Chops along with the Non-Veg meals. But due to some reason the restaurant did not have mutton available at that moment so instead they replaced it with a Chicken Curry. I was not a big fan of this curry as it had too much of salt and it just did not go well with the Biryani.  These are the main aspects of the Non-Veg meal.

Now if you thought that was the end of it well, I must say it is not. You will be provided with unlimited amounts of white rice which you could have with Sambar, Rasam, or curd. The choice is yours; I chose Rasam both the times and coming to a place like Nandhana, you would never be disappointed with their rasam.

I did not get a chance to try out their Ala Carte menu considering they have wide range of options to choose from. If you are hungry and you want something to fill you up for good, then I would suggest you go for the Non-Veg meals. You can find Nandahana Palace at 1101, 1st Floor, 24th Main, Near ICICI Bank, JP Nagar, Bangalore.
