Indirangar has added another Pan-Asian restaurant to it’s vast collection. Chilli & Chives opened recently and we were excited to try out some delicious Pan-Asian food. We visited the place around five in the evening and it was absolutely empty and makes sense considering most of them would come for either lunch or dinner. They are open throughout the day and I think that’s good for all of us. We had the following while we were at Chilli & Chives.
Before we began our dishes they provided with a nice bowl of fruit salad and it has to be the most refreshing salad I have ever had.

Har Gau is a prawn dim sum, a Cantonese delicacy with loads of sesame and bamboo shoots. I must say this is very tasty and I would suggest everyone to try it out. Although four pieces is not enough, it is very affordable unlike many other places.
The Hong Kong style Chicken Bao was very different in terms of the preparation. These were fluffy buns filled with chicken which was cooked perfectly. The sauce inside the bun was spicy and nice as well.

For main course we had the Khao Sui as our choice of noodles. This is a famous North Thai style noodle soup which is basically steamed noodles immersed in coconut milk based soup that is a whole meal on it’s own. It is served with crispy noodles, onions, garlic flakes, chili’s to add more taste and flavor to the dish. The meat was perfect, the consistency was brilliant, and the taste was magnificent.

For Rice, we had the Khao Pad Kaprow which is rice tossed with chilli, tomatoes, and topped with basil. The taste was very authentic, even though the dish comes across as a little greasy, you are bound to enjoy the amalgam of tastes that the dish provides.

The Vietnamese Boba Cold Coffee was very average, tasted very different and we did not get the caffeine rush we were hoping for.

Fresh Lime Soda was spot on, the right amount of sugar and salt made this absolutely refreshing.

The parking maybe tough as they are on the main road, the service is quick, and the staff are super friendly. They will always come by and ask for your feedback and suggestions hoping to make you comfortable at all times. The food is very authentic and true to it’s origins and you are bound to have a great time at Chilli & Chives. You can find them at 3169/B, ESI Hospital – Domlur Service Road, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore.
