MTR has been around for a really long time in the city of Bengaluru which has a separate fan following of its own. MTR has been known for its breakfast dishes and also their lunch thali. The place is pretty crowded throughout the day and it can be frustrating to wait but it surely is worth the wait as you would enjoy some of the best food that they have to offer. We had the following while we were at MTR.
Idli was massive in size, soft and fluffy as well. The idli is served with chutney and sambar or you can order for sambar dip as well.

The Vada is super crispy and spicy. These Vadas are some of the best in the city and are surely going to impress you the most.

The Masala Dosa here is very different in terms of the way they use chutney as the masala and not the red paste. The dosa is less crispy compared to what you usually get, but this version of the Masala Dosa has its own cult following. The ghee is poured on to the dosa and it makes it all the more tasty. Do order the dosa at the beginning as it tends to make you full and you may not enjoy it with other dishes.

The Badam Halwa in the morning was a bit of a surprise package, as this sweet dish won us over easily. Such a well made halwa with perfect consistency and amazing taste, one can have more than just a single serving of this.

Lastly we had coffee. They served us coffee in silver cups which was pretty mindlowning to be honest, never have we come across this before. This royal touch just tells us the kind of Heritage that MTR has and will continue to have in the years to come.
Parking for a four wheeler may be a hassle, so I would suggest you use public transport. You can find them at 14, Lal Bagh Main Rd, Doddamavalli, Sudhama Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560027.
