The Himalayan in Koramangala, Bengaluru is an authentic Korean restaurant offering great food with a very good ambiance as well. Situated on the top floor it has a nice view of the streets of Koramangala, and they also have the traditional Korean style of seating as well. We had the following while we were at The Himalayan.
Chicken Kimbap is one of the well known delicacies of the Korean world. It is a Korean style rice roll, with fresh vegetables, and chicken rolled nicely in seaweed. The quantity was fantastic and the dish was an absolute delight. Loved how the dish mixed well with the sauces as well.
The mint and lemon drink was a refreshing drink with a nice mix of sweetness and salt.
The mango mocktail was amazing as well, it was very different from what you usually encounter outside. It had a mix of fruits with mango being the dominant fruit, mixed well with soda and served chilled.
Korean Ramyum is surely competing to be the best ramen in the city of Bengaluru. A little spicy, tangy, but perfected cooked ramen and the balance of the broth was perfect. If you ever visit The Himalayan, this ramen has to be one of the must have dishes at this place.
The Shrimp Roll was another unique delicacy at The Himalayan. This rice based roll has more of a modern twist with some sauces and fried rice crumbs that enhance the taste of this dish. The quantity again is massive, the taste is unique, and the service was quicker than ever.
