Rangastaalamm – Bengaluru

It’s always a challenge when you are trying out Andhra cuisine in Bengaluru, as there are so many existing pioneers in this cuisine. Rangastaalamm in Rajarajeshwari Nagar is one of the best Andhra cuisine restaurants in this region of the city. A superb interior space, with great staff, and some brilliant food, Rangastaalamm is surely a place to visit. We had the following while we were at Rangastaalamm.

Andhra Chilli Chicken was a beauty. That level of spiciness can never be depicted in any other Andhra dish ever. A fantastic appetiser for those who are fond of something spicy, especially the green chilli semi gravy. This also goes well when you are having some biryani too.

Rangastaalamm Special Prawn Biryani was a bit of a bland experience. The rice was well cooked, the prawns however were very less in quantity considering the price you pay for the dish. The masala tasted bland and there was very little masala to go with the rice, making it really tough to enjoy this dish.

Chicken Kolhapuri gravy was the perfect match to the butter naan. The Butter Naan was not the best that we have had, the butter spread on the bread was less and it was a lot crispier than we would have wanted. However, the gravy was spot on, well cooked, and spicy as well.

Buttermilk was the traditional spicy version that we love, as refreshing as it could be.

Fresh Lime Juice was a little sour but a little more sugar and it would be decent enough.

Gulab Jamun was very good, it was served hot, the jamun was big in size and tasted amazing. The khoa was well done, and the syrup tasted perfect. A good way to end our time at Rangastaalamm.

Parking is available here, and since it is on the main road you can locate this place with ease.

Average cost for two would be 1500 – 2000 INR.
